Litigation Preparation

Step Four: Burn to disk

Eventually you may have to present your evidence in court. If you hire an attorney, he or she will most certainly want to look over your evidence. In any event, it is a good idea to make an electronic copy of all the files you created in steps two and three.

We recommend that you burn the folder you created at the beginning of step 2 (and everything in it) to a recordable CD or DVD. So, in our example, once we've inserted a blank disk into our computer's optical drive, we would drag and drop our folder titled "" into the open window then burn it to the disk.
